Camp Dream serves children and young adults with moderate to severe disabilities through Summer Camp and Camp Out programs in Georgia. Its programs are designed to provide an individualized experience as each Counselor works one-on-one with a specific Camper. This individualized attention allows Camp Dream to meet a critical need in serving the children and young adults that most other programs do not.
Play is an incredibly significant but often undervalued part of a child's social, cognitive and emotional development. This is especially important to individuals with disabilities, as their opportunities for social interaction and growth are often significantly limited. Camp Dream believes that all children and young adults with a disability, regardless of their financial situation or the severity of their disability, have a right to recreational and social experiences that enhance self-worth and value long beyond adolescence.
